WCSO Thanksgiving Travel Tips

Published On: 11/25/2025

Thanksgiving week is here, and the roads are about to look like every relative you’ve ever had decided to leave the house at the exact same time. Before you hit the road, here’s your friendly reminder from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office:

• Slow down, especially in heavy traffic and wet weather.
• Buckle up, every seat, every trip.
• Never drive impaired or buzzed.
• Put the phone down, arrive safely.
• Expect delays, plan for patience, and watch out for the folks who didn’t.
• If you see dangerous or impaired driving, call it in.

Our Deputies will be out on the roads working to keep everyone safe, but we can’t do it without you.

Travel safe, enjoy your family time, and bring everybody home in one piece.
