WCSO CRIME PREVENTION
The WCSO Crime Prevention team is part of the Information Services Division, works to strengthen relationships between the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the community we serve.
Through public education, community outreach, school programs, and participation in local events, our Community Relations team provides opportunities for residents to meet WCSO personnel, learn more about the Sheriff’s Office, and better understand the programs and resources available to them.
Community Relations personnel regularly attend community events, school activities, public safety programs, and other outreach opportunities throughout Williamson County. The section also supports the D.A.R.E. program in local schools, helping educate students about making safe, responsible choices and building positive relationships with law enforcement.
Whether visiting a classroom, participating in a neighborhood event, or speaking with residents about WCSO services and crime prevention resources, our goal is simple: to keep Williamson County informed, connected, and protected.

How do I request WCSO participation in an event or presentation?
Complete the Community Event/Presentation Request Form or contact the WCSO Crime Prevention Section. Please provide as much information as possible so we can determine how we can best support your event.
Does submitting a request guarantee WCSO will attend?
No. WCSO makes every effort to support community events, but participation depends on personnel availability, operational needs, scheduling, and the nature of the request.
Who can request a Crime Prevention program or presentation?
Schools, civic organizations, neighborhood groups, businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches, and other community groups may contact WCSO regarding available programs and presentations.
Will WCSO attend private events?
Requests may be considered based on the purpose of the event, its connection to public education or crime prevention, staffing availability, and whether participation is appropriate for the Sheriff’s Office.
Can WCSO bring a patrol vehicle or other equipment to an event?
Depending on the event and availability, WCSO may be able to provide personnel, vehicles, equipment displays, K9 demonstrations, or other educational resources. Specific requests should be included when submitting an event request.
Does it cost anything to request WCSO participation in a community event?
There is no charge for WCSO community outreach and public education activities. Participation is subject to availability and the nature of the request.
Can WCSO provide information about crime prevention and safety programs?
Yes. The Crime Prevention Section can help connect residents, neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and community organizations with information about WCSO crime prevention programs, safety resources, and available services.
What is the D.A.R.E. Program?
D.A.R.E. is a school-based educational program taught by specially trained law enforcement officers. The program helps students develop good decision-making skills and learn about personal safety, responsible choices, and resisting negative influences.
Does WCSO offer programs for schools?
