Fully Deputized/Sworn P.O.S.T. Deputy for Patrol, SRO or Courthouse
Starting pay: $26.36
Shift Differential:
- 6pm-6am: $0.86
Educational Differential:
- Associates: $0.36
- Bachelors/Masters: $0.72
Job Descriptions:
Court Services: maintains the security for the Williamson County Judicial Center, the Historic Courthouse, the Administrative Office Complex and Juvenile Court. In addition, Court Services oversees the transportation of inmates to and from other agencies and serves criminal and civil warrants.
SRO: The path to becoming a School Resource Officer with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office begins with a deputy working in the corrections division until an opportunity to interview for other divisions occurs. Upon selection from the corrections division, that deputy will then be assigned to the field training program and the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy to become a Tennessee Post Certified Law Enforcement Officer. However, this requirement has been temporarily suspended for POST-Certified applicants until further notice.
Patrol: conducts proactive patrol and crime deterrence, responding to calls for service from the public, initial incident investigation, enforcing criminal and traffic laws, traffic direction and control, public order, and community interaction and relationship building
Experience:
- 2% per full year of law enforcement experience up to 5 years
Minimum qualifications required for this position are:
- Must be TN POST or POST in another state
- Out of state POST will have to attend 3 week transition school to become TN POST
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must not have been convicted of, plead guilty to, or entered a plea of nolo contender to a felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or municipal ordinances related to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances
- If prior/current military, must have an honorable or equivalent discharge on file
- Must successfully pass a Functional Fitness Test (FFT).
- Must successfully pass a drug screen.
- Must successfully pass a psychological assessment.
- Must successfully pass a polygraph exam.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Detention Training Academy:
- 5 weeks long
- Physical training everyday
- Legal Courses
- Less than lethal exposures and training
- Weapons training
- Self-defense training
- Tactical medical and room clearing training
- Transport training
Uniforms:
- $500 a year
- Breathable and comfortable
- Stab and bullet resistant vest
- Beards and tattoos are allowed
Miscellaneous:
- Overtime available
- Advancement opportunities
- Paid bi-weekly
- Open range days- ammo included
- Yearly and additional training opportunities
- Military Drill Pay- 20 days allotted with the option to use vacation days, up to 5 sick days, or leave without pay for any additional dates

Fully Deputized/Sworn Detention Deputy
Starting pay: $25.36
Shift Differential:

Experience:
- 2% per full year of law enforcement/corrections experience up to 5 years
Main Duties:
- Overseeing the care and well-being of inmates
- Ensuring the security of the facility
- Managing critical incidents within the facility
- Monitoring inmate movement and completing security rounds throughout the facility
- Conducting searches of cells, inmates, and visitors
- Prepare and submit appropriate criminal, disciplinary, and internal incident reports
- Oversee meal pass, medication pass, and any other programs as needed
- Providing security and conducting inmate related transports
- Assisting with the inmate booking processing
- Conducting investigations and completing reports related to the incidents
- Keeping accurate logs of the day’s activities
Minimum qualifications required for this position are:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must not have been convicted of, plead guilty to, or entered a plea of nolo contender to a felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or municipal ordinances related to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances
- If prior/current military, must have an honorable or equivalent discharge on file

- Military Drill Pay- 20 days allotted with the option to use vacation days, up to 5 sick days, or leave without pay for any additional dates
- Beards and tattoos allowed but must adhere to policy guidelines
- Uniforms and equipment are provided with an annual allowance for additional items needed after first full year
Kitchen Services
Starting pay: $19.35
Main Duties:
- Maintain inventory and product quantity
- Placing orders for new items
- Oversee and monitor inmates as they prepare food for daily meals
- Maintain clean and sanitary work conditions
- Oversee the distribution and organization of meals to the facility
- Managing product delivery and stocking
Minimum qualifications required for this position are:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
- Must not have been convicted of, plead guilty to, or entered a plea of nolo contender to a felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or municipal ordinances related to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances

WCSO School Crossing Guard Part-Time
Starting pay: $20.00
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and must pass a criminal background check. Uniforms will be provided. Position is part time with starting pay at $20.00 an hour.
