This division (led by Records Administrator Tina Weatherby) maintains the reports and records of the WCSO, and processes requests for public records, public fingerprinting, and local background checks. The release of records and information must be in accordance with state and federal law. WCSO follows requirements of both the Tennessee Public Records Act and Public Records Policy of Williamson County. WCSO participates in the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS) whereby the state collects data on crime incidents and the elements associated with the incident. Records also reviews traffic citations and warnings, crash reports, tow slips, and other supporting incident documentation. *Records processed approximately 7,525 incident and miscellaneous reports in 2022 (an 8% increase from 2021 totals).
