Here’s your friendly reminder from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office:

📵 Eyes on the road. Hands on the wheel.
      That text? It can wait.
      That call? Not worth a crash.
      That split second? Could change a life.

Since January 2024, there have been 5,641 crashes in Williamson County. Data shows that 1 in 20 drivers involved in a crash was distracted. In addition to these crashes, Williamson County Emergency Communications has dispatched 1,604 calls reporting reckless driving. That’s 1,604 opportunities for disaster that could have been avoided with focused, responsible driving.

In 2023, thousands of lives were lost nationwide due to distracted driving—and every one of them was preventable. Whether you’re checking your phone, fiddling with the radio, or arguing over where to eat, distractions steal your focus and risk lives.
