Seven members of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Reserve Unit stand together on a paved lot outside the Special Operations facility on a sunny day. The volunteers are dressed in work clothes and sunglasses after completing a tree and brush clearing project. Behind them are manicured grounds, security fencing, and a clear blue sky filled with large white clouds. The volunteer effort helped improve safety around the Aviation Unit's helicopter landing area while saving taxpayers thousands of dollars in labor and equipment costs.

Last Saturday, several members of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit donated their personal time and equipment to clear trees and brush around our Special Operations facility.

This project was completed entirely on a voluntary basis, saving Williamson County taxpayers thousands of dollars while improving safety around our Aviation Unit’s takeoff and landing zone.

A special thank you to:

• Eddie Coutras
• Todd Paine
• Don Mauck
• Phil Sokic
• Perry Dillehay
• Bobby Rutledge
• Matt Smith
• Randy Purcell

Special recognition goes to Todd Paine, Don Mauck, and Phil Sokic for bringing their heavy equipment. Their contributions made it possible to accomplish an incredible amount of work in a short time.

This project is a great example of the dedication, teamwork, and servant leadership displayed by our Reserve Unit. We are grateful for their willingness to give back to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Williamson County.

Thank you all for your hard work and commitment to keeping Williamson County safe.
