Honoring the Life and Service of Detention Deputy Andrew Ryan
Detention Deputy Andrew Ryan began his service with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office on February 24, 2025, as a member of the 50th Detention Training Academy. He had begun training for a career dedicated to public service. Tragically, Deputy Ryan sustained life-threatening injuries in a vehicle accident on May 2, 2025.
Although he was unable to attend, Deputy Ryan was recognized as an honorary graduate of the Detention Training Academy with his classmates on June 6. Andrew’s parents accepted his diploma Captain Chad Youker on his behalf.
Though his time with us was brief, Andrew quickly became a trusted and respected colleague. His warmth, resilience, and positive spirit left a lasting impact on those around him. We mourn his passing because of the man he was, and the undeniable potential he had before him, one marked by purpose and service.
Deputy Ryan’s radio call number 695 will be retired following a ceremonial End of Watch at the graveside, preserving his memory with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for all times.

Funeral Procession Route
“It was Andrew’s dream to have a career in Law Enforcement and his passion and commitment for the job was evident. Andrew was readily accepted as a valuable and trusted co-worker in the WCSO family. We were so blessed to have him on our team, albeit for such a short period of time. Standing with his family during this difficult time has been an honor that afforded us the opportunity to forge a bond with them that will endure. Rest in peace, Andrew – your memory will live on in the hearts of everyone at the WCSO that served with you.”-Sheriff Jeff Hughes
