WCSO Deputy Rivera and his K9 partner, Chet, are pictured at Ravenwood High School as they begin the new school year.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL : K9 EDITION!

Published On: 08/10/2026
Deputy Rivera brought a little extra “paw enforcement” to Ravenwood High School for the first day of school. 🐕‍🦺😂
His partner, K9 Chet, came ready for class too. We’re told he’s already mastered sit, stay, and report to the SRO office, so he may be slightly ahead of the rest of us. 😎
K9 Chet’s goals for the school year:
🐾 Make new friends
🐾 Keep Ravenwood safe
🐾 Maintain perfect attendance
🐾 Determine exactly who has snacks in their backpack
Here’s to a great school year for Deputy Rivera, K9 Chet, and everyone at Ravenwood High School!
And K9 Chet… no eating your homework. 😂🐾
