Fair Safety Tips
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind our wonderful citizens of a few safety tips that will help make your time at the Williamson County Fair that much more enjoyable!
- Stay hydrated: The Fair is happening the first week of August, which is prone to being extremely hot. Please hydrate properly before traveling to the fairgrounds, and also make sure to hydrate during your time there
- Have a central meeting point in case you are separated: Hundreds of thousands of people come to the fair every year, and every year family members become separated. Try not to panic if this happens. Have a place at the fair (such as the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Booth [pictured], which is located inside the AgExpo Center near the restrooms on the upper tier) that is highly visible and can be found easily.
- Have phone numbers memorized or on hand: In the case of separation, and you need to contact the party you are separated from, have phone numbers memorized. Having them saved on your cell phone is great, but, in the event the battery goes out, have the numbers memorized so a deputy can assist in contacting your party even if your cell phone is not able to power on.
- For the adults: Have a recent picture of you children available in the event they get separated from you at the fair. This will allow the deputies to have an up-to-date visual of the child in the event of separation and will aid in locating them.
These simple steps will help ensure that your experience at the Williamson County Fair will be one you remember! We will see you on August 1st!
