Narcotics Unit

The Narcotics Unit of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to the investigation, disruption, and dismantling of illegal drug activity throughout Williamson County. Operating under the Criminal Investigations Division, the unit is responsible for conducting proactive and reactive investigations into drug trafficking organizations, street-level distribution, pharmaceutical diversion, and emerging drug trends that threaten public safety.

Narcotics investigators are specially trained in a range of enforcement tactics and investigative methods, including:

  • Undercover operations and controlled buys
  • Confidential informant management and source development
  • Highway criminal interdiction and parcel interdiction
  • Surveillance, search warrant execution, and tactical entry
  • Asset seizure and forfeiture related to drug proceeds
  • Overdose investigation and narcotics-related death response

The unit works closely with other Sheriff’s Office divisions—including K-9, Crime Analysis, and Digital Forensics—as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to maximize impact and ensure the lawful and ethical pursuit of narcotics enforcement goals.
