Criminal Investigation

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the prompt, thorough, and constitutionally sound investigation of crimes occurring within Williamson County. CID serves as the investigative backbone of the agency, encompassing the units of General Investigations, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), and Crime Analysis.

CID investigators are trained to manage a broad range of criminal cases, from routine offenses to highly complex and sensitive investigations. Personnel receive advanced instruction and hold specialized certifications that enable the division to conduct professional, ethical, and effective investigations. Core areas of expertise include:

  • Homicide and death investigations
