Crime Analysis
The Crime Analysis Unit, led by Crime Analyst Lisa Tate, plays a critical role in supporting criminal investigations and enhancing operational effectiveness across the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. Working in close partnership with detectives and investigative supervisors, the unit analyzes criminal intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable leads in ongoing and emerging cases.
The unit produces analytical tools—including geographic maps, link charts, statistical graphs, and investigative timelines—to support complex investigations and assist in tactical and strategic decision-making. This work enhances the agency’s ability to proactively address crime and allocate resources more efficiently.
In collaboration with a dedicated team of two detectives, the Crime Analysis Unit also manages the county’s sex offender registry and ensures compliance with all state reporting requirements.
In addition to investigative support, the Crime Analyst provides agency-wide statistical reporting and research on criminal activity, contributing to data-driven strategies that inform patrol deployment, crime prevention initiatives, and long-term planning efforts.
