We want to make sure our community is aware of an ongoing phone scam involving callers who falsely claim to be Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The callers may say you missed jury duty and threaten arrest unless you make an immediate payment.

This is a scam.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will never demand payment over the phone to avoid arrest. Scammers may use real employee names, official-sounding language, or technology that makes our phone number appear on your caller ID.

If you receive one of these calls:

• Do not provide personal or financial information.
• Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or electronic payments.
• End the call.
• Contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office directly using a verified phone number or through our official website.

Please help us protect our community by sharing this information with friends, family members, and anyone who may be especially vulnerable to these tactics.
