Sheriff Sales
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office conducts sales on Real and Personal property several times a year. On a civil judgement, the clerk of the court will send a Levy to the warrants office to serve on a defendant (judgement debtor). The deputy will secure personal property from the defendant, and set a date, time and location for the sale. Notice of the sale is in the local paper, several places throughout the county, the Williamson County and Sheriff’s office website and social media platforms. On a real property sale, the same steps apply, but typically, the sale will be at the Williamson County Courthouse.
In most cases, a minimum bid is set, based on the fair market value of either the personal or real property. Upon cancelation of a sale, we will update websites and social media posts.
All property sold “as is” and to the highest bidder. Method of payment is cash or cashier’s check.
**Notice: The Williamson County Sheriff does not conduct foreclosure or tax lien sales**
