🚨 ONLINE SEXTORTION ALERT 🚨
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office wants to warn parents and teens about a growing danger online: Sextortion.
We’re seeing more sextortion cases right here in our own community—and unfortunately, the FBI is reporting a sharp national increase in incidents where children and teens are being coerced into sending explicit images online.
These criminals are predators—posing as peers or promising money, gifts, or attention—only to later threaten, blackmail, and manipulate their victims.
This abuse often begins on social media, messaging apps, or even online games. Once they have one photo or video, they demand more… or else.
Some even demand money or gift cards, and tragically, some victims feel trapped with nowhere to turn.
Let’s be clear:
📌 Sextortion is a CRIME.
📌 Victims are never to blame.
📌 There is help and hope.
👉 If you or someone you know is being targeted:
📞 Call 1-615-790-5550 to report.Â

Parents, it’s time for real conversations. Talk to your kids about what’s happening online. Let them know they can come to you without fear or shame.
Together, we can protect our kids from online predators.
